Bill Simmons believes the Milwaukee Bucks have done very little to convince Giannis Antetokounmpo to stay with the team.
The Milwaukee Bucks have stirred up quite the controversy over the last few days. Earlier this week, the Bucks surprisingly signed Myles Turner for $107 million.
Many questioned how they could even afford to do so. As it turns out, it was because the Bucks waived Damian Lillard to clear up cap space.
It was a surprising move, given how Giannis Antetokounmpo felt about playing with Damian Lillard. And making such a bold move is bound to have consequences.
Giannis is reportedly waiting to see what the Bucks do before deciding on his future. But if Bill Simmons is to be believed, the Bucks should have traded the Greek Freak a while ago.

Bill Simmons spoke on his podcast about the Milwaukee Bucks and how they’ve handled the offseason so far.
He thinks they’ve made some terrible moves out of desperation, slamming the decision to waive Damian Lillard, and questioning how adding Myles Turner makes them a top team in the East.
“I thought what Milwaukee did was one of the most desperate, reckless moves that I could ever remember since I’ve been a basketball fan.
“I hated it. I don’t understand it. I think it’s a disaster. I didn’t approve of any single aspect of it.
“Carrying the Dame stretch thing for five years, idiotic. Doing it for Myles Turner, I have no idea why they would do that. I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t have just traded Giannis.
“If that’s how desperate you are to keep Giannis, I’m trading Giannis at that point, I’m folding my hand. I just don’t get it. This doesn’t make them a top-four team in the East.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn’t have much time to evaluate
It’s clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. But what he wants more is to win an NBA championship.
Right now, the Bucks don’t have a lot of options to bolster their roster. The Bucks are considering Chris Paul and Malcolm Brogdon as potential point guard options.
While both are decent players, neither of them are needle movers in the NBA.
It’s hard to see how a combination of either Paul or Brogdon with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Myles Turner, and Kyle Kuzma can compete for an NBA championship.
Do not be surprised if Giannis evaluates this roster at the end of the offseason and demands a trade out of Milwaukee.
