DEAD set on securing a spot in the NBA Summer League, Kevin Quiambao is putting in the work in Sacramento.

The former UAAP champion and MVP and current KBL standout arrived in the U.S. on July 3 and immediately dove into training.

Since landing, he has joined multiple high-level scrimmages organized by veteran trainer and agent Guss Armstead, featuring a mix of professionals, GLeague players, and overseas prospects.

Despite online buzz suggesting a deal with the Sacramento Kings has already been made, sources told SPIN.ph there’s no truth to the rumors — at least for now.

KQ hard at work

Still, Quiambao is doing everything he can to get noticed.

On Friday (Manila time), he trained with Sam Luong, a respected development coach affiliated with the Kings organization. The session included NCAA Division I players, giving him another platform to showcase his skills against elite-level competition.

The grind didn’t stop on the court. On Saturday morning, he the hit the field for speed and agility drills, working, alongside his former La Salle strength and conditioning coach, Miguel Aytona, who flew in with him to oversee his training regimen.
