SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Hawkeye legend has a new role in the NBA. Late 80s Iowa star BJ Armstrong is reported to be taking a position as Assistant General Manager with the Sacramento Kings under new GM Scott Perry.
Armstrong averaged over 17 points per game each of his final two seasons at Iowa in the late 1980s. He went on to play 11 seasons in the NBA, and won 3 championship rings alongside Michael Jordan on the Chicago Bulls.
BJ will join another Hawkeye in Sacramento. Keegan Murray just finished his third season with the team.
