March Madness is returning to your favorite gaming console.

After more than 16 years away, EA Sports appeared to announce Monday that it is bringing back a college basketball video game.

“Bring the Madness. Let’s run it back,” EA said in a teaser announcement on X.

Gamers and college hoops fans have been clamoring for a college basketball game to return since EA’s revamped college football game debuted in 2024.

They got their wish on Monday, but little is known about the game including the release date.

If it does in fact return, it will make the first EA Sports’ college basketball game since 2009’s NCAA Basketball ’10, which featured Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin, a future Detroit Piston, on the cover.

More details are expected to emerge in the future.

Extra Points obtained a memo from the Collegiate Licensing Company that indicated the game may return in 2028, but that has not been confirmed.
