PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Utah forward Lauri Markkanen had just watched his tying 3-pointer trickle through the net, but he didn’t have time to admire his work.

Portland didn’t worry about calling a timeout.

Instead, they put the ball right back in play with Scoot Henderson dribbling across half-court, coming off a screen and attacking the lane. That is where he appeared to run into a dead end, but he put on a spin and hit a contested fade-away shot for the winning points with 0.1of a second on the clock.

Utah tried for a tip in off an inbounds pass, but rookie Donovan Clingan pulled it down easily to cap Portland’s 122-120 home win at the Moda Center.

The Blazers trailed throughout the first half, until Shaedon Sharpe released down the sideline and beat the halftime horn with a 3-pointer that gave the Blazers a 55-54 edge at the break.

The teams traded the lead seven times down the stretch before Henderson’s winner in the final second.

Sharpe and Deni Avdija each scored 27 points to lead the Blazers, while DeAndre Ayton added 18 points to go with 12 rebounds.

Portland (10-20) is at home Saturday against Dallas.
