The Orlando Magic made big news over the weekend by trading for Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane. Now Mike Scotto of Hoopshype is reporting that, in the wake of the deal, Orlando is cutting ties with veteran guards Gary Harris and Cory Joseph.

Just In: The Orlando Magic have declined team options for Gary Harris ($7.5 million) and Cory Joseph ($3.47 million) for the 2025-26 season as part of the Desmond Bane trade, league sources told @hoopshype

Harris, an eleven-year veteran, has played for the Denver Nuggets as well as the Orlando Magic. The shooting guard played in only 48 games last season, averaging 3.0 points in 14.8 minutes. Joseph, a fourteen-year point guard, has served with seven different NBA teams. He averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 assists in 12.2 minutes per game in 50 appearances for the Magic last season.
