The Nets’ final move of the 2025 NBA Draft was a swift Day 2 trade.

After making NBA history by drafting Egor Demin, Nolan Traoré, Drake Powell, Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf with five first-round picks on Wednesday, the Nets traded their No. 36 second-round pick to the Phoenix Suns for two future second-round selections, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Suns continued their trade spree.

Phoenix then acquired the No. 31 pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves, trading the No. 36 pick and two future second-round selections, to draft Saint Joseph’s wing Rasheer Fleming — a rumored Nets target.

Minnesota completed the cycle by trading the No. 36 pick to the Los Angeles Lakers, who drafted Arkansas wing Adou Thiero. Brooklyn opted not to re-enter the second round, concluding its 2025 NBA Draft.

The Nets’ second-round picks from the Phoenix trade include a 2026 pick (the worse of the Clippers’ or the best of Miami’s, Indiana’s or Boston’s) and a 2030 Boston Celtics second-round pick, per HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.

Non-guards available to Brooklyn at No. 36 included Thiero, Stanford center Maxime Raynaud, Northwestern forward Brooks Barnhizer, Australian center Rocco Zikarsky and Kentucky center Amari Williams.

After trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets last weekend for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and five second-round picks, the Suns selected Duke center Khaman Maluach with the No. 10 pick and dealt the No. 29 pick plus a 2029 first rounder to the Charlotte Hornets for center Mark Williams. The Hornets then used the No. 29 pick to select UConn guard Liam McNeeley.

The 2029 first-round pick traded to Charlotte is the least favorable of Cleveland’s, Utah’s or Minnesota’s selections and is reportedly top 5 protected. Charlotte also acquired guard Vasilije Micic, previously traded to Phoenix in February as part of the Jusuf Nurkic deal, and plans to exercise his $8.1 million team option, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
