Former Tennessee men’s basketball player Jahmai Mashack made his professional debut Monday in the Salt Lake City Summer League with the Grizzlies. Utah defeated Memphis, 112-111, at Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mashack totaled five points, nine assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block in 23 minutes. He converted 2-of-4 field goal attempts and 1-of-2 free throw attempts.

Mashack, a guard, was selected in the second round by Memphis with the No. 59 overall pick. He was the final selection in the 2025 NBA draft.

The 6-foot-4, 202-pound guard played for the Vols from 2021-25. He appeared in 137 games, including 59 starts. Mashack was named as a 2025 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award Finalist and earned 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team honors.

Mashack went to Tennessee from Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California

Memphis will next play Tuesday against Philadelphia. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and the contest will be televised on NBATV.
