LOUISVILLE, KY. (WSMV) – The Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, had reports of an active aggressor, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
The report was called in during the Run 4 The Roses Classic, a competitive girls’ basketball tournament with young athletes from across the country.
Several teams from Middle Tennessee were there on Sunday among the more than 9,000 players.
The LMPD said there were no victims found and no shots believed to have been fired.

LMPD initially posted on their social media platforms just after 3:30 p.m. that they were investigating reports of an “active aggressor” at the Kentucky Expo Center.
Police say that they have not found any victims, and that no shots were fired.
A few people reportedly received minor injuries while fleeing from the “unknown incident,” according to police.
“We are grateful for the swift and coordinated response from the Louisville Metro Police Department, our on-site security personnel, and public safety officials across the city,” a statement from Kentucky Venues President & CEO David S. Beck said. “Their immediate action to search and secure the building ensured the safety of everyone on our campus. Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our guests, staff, and partners. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue working with law enforcement.”
The Run 4 Roses Championship, taking place at the Expo Center, has suspended activities for the rest of the day and will resume on Monday, July 14.
