NBA Star Proves He’s the Biggest Fan of Future Wife Coco Jones originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell is showing he’s not only a force on the basketball court but also the ultimate supporter of his fiancée, Grammy-winning singer and actress Coco Jones.

Fresh off their recent engagement, Mitchell made waves online this week when he reposted a fan’s message praising Jones’s looks.

“Coco Jones has one of the craziest face cards I have ever seen,” the original post on X read.

“I swear,” Mitchell added his own short but emphatic reply.

That brief comment was enough to send social media buzzing, gathering over 6.1 million views, 1,000 comments and nearly 9,000 reposts. Fans were quick to celebrate the couple’s relationship, applauding how Mitchell publicly supports his future wife.

The sweet online moment comes not long after Mitchell and Jones announced their engagement. The 28-year-old NBA star popped the question during a romantic sunset proposal at a resort.

Jones, 27, shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of them together with her sparkling engagement ring on display.

The announcement quickly drew warm wishes from stars in sports and entertainment. Among those congratulated the couple were Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, singer Ciara and rapper Lady London.

While Mitchell and Jones have largely kept their relationship private, fans have picked up small glimpses of their bond over the past two years. Earlier this year, Jones shared on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast how she values privacy in her personal life, despite being in the spotlight.

“I don’t want to ever feel like I have to be somebody’s secret. I don’t want to make anybody feel like they’re mine. For me, I’m trying to protect myself, my family, and whoever I love,” she said. “So, yeah, I am more private.”

Jones, known for her hit song “ICU,” which won her a Grammy for Best R&B Performance, is also an actress starring in the Peacock series “Bel-Air.”

As for Mitchell, he’s coming off a strong season with the Cavaliers and is preparing for a busy year ahead, balancing NBA commitments with wedding plans.
