The Philadelphia 76ers will continue the summer league on Wednesday when they take on the Dallas Mavericks out in Las Vegas. This will be the fourth summer league game for Philadelphia in Vegas and seventh overall as the Sixers look to get the youngsters the necessary court time.
On the second night of a back-to-back, the Sixers will be holding out a trio of players including prized rookie VJ Edgecombe. He will sit out along with Justin Edwards and Adem Bona.

Per The Athletic’s Tony Jones, the Sixers are holding them out because it is the second night of a back-to-back. Nothing more than that.
The Sixers have been unable to see much of Edgecombe in this summer league. He played in the opener in Salt Lake City on July 5 before he missed the final two games in Utah and the first two in Vegas due to a left thumb sprain. In the two games he has played, he has had some impressive moments.
The Sixers and the Mavericks will tip off at 8 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.
