(Fox40.com) — Kevon Looney is breaking his silence after leaving the Golden State Warriors, which is the only change to Golden State’s roster in free agency. Looney didn’t hold back, saying he didn’t feel like the coaching staff trusted him, and he was sick of it.
The 10-year NBA player signed a two-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans last week. On Wednesday, he went on the Warriors “Plus Minus” podcast and said he felt “A bit slighted by some of the Warriors’ coaches, and Steve Kerr’s decisions.” He said this includes the choice to play a rookie instead of him in the playoffs.

Looney played just nine minutes per game in the Houston Rockets series, and said, “You get sick of it at some point, especially when you’ve proved yourself for five years.” He averaged just 5 points, six rebounds, and shot 51% from the field last season.
