Dwyane Wade shares thoughts on Dallas Mavericks getting first pick
NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade shares his thoughts on the NBA and whether or not the Mavericks getting the first pick in the draft is a “coincidence.”
Sports Seriously
The Oklahoma City Thunder are NBA champions following their Sunday night Game 7 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
And now that the confetti has fallen, the NBA offseason is officially underway.
It starts with Wednesday night’s NBA Draft, where Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari hopes to extend a 17-year run with a first-round pick. His lone chance in this year’s draft is former Razorback wing Adou Thiero. Recent projections fluctuate between late-first and early-second round status for Thiero.
Here’s everything you need to know for the 2025 NBA Draft, from how to watch and stream, to where Thiero is projected to play at the next level.

Where can I watch the NBA Draft?
The first round will be televised on both ABC and ESPN, with the second round airing exclusively on ESPN. All of the action can be streamed on Fubo, who is offering a free trial to potential subscribers.
Both rounds will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
When is the 2025 NBA Draft?First round:Â Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m.Second round:Â Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
For a second straight year, the first and second round of the NBA Draft will air on separate days, with round one coming on Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m.
The difference for this year is that the second round will also air at 7 p.m. the next night, Thursday, June 26, after starting at 3 p.m. last year.
Where will Arkansas star Adou Thiero be drafted?
ESPN’s latest mock draft slots Thiero as the 34th overall pick, going to the Charlotte Hornets near the top of the second round. The Athletic also believes Thiero will be a second-round pick.
However, Yahoo! Sports, CBS Sports and The Ringer all believe Thiero will be a first-round selection. Calipari’s streak is truly a toss-up.
Who will be the No. 1 pick in NBA Draft?
Odds via BetMGM as of Tuesday, June 24:
Last year there was a bit of uncertainty between three players (Zaccharie Risacher, Donovan Clingan and Alexandre Sarr) on who will be the No. 1 overall pick in the betting market.
It’s the complete opposite now.
Duke forward Cooper Flagg is a -10000 favorite to head to Dallas at the top spot on BetMGM, meaning you’d have bet $10,000 just to net $100.
It’d be a major upset if it were anybody but Flagg headed to the Mavericks to pair alongside veteran stars in Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving.
