The New York Knicks’ 2025 NBA Summer League campaign concluded with a loss against the Washington Wizards.

In five matchups during the 2025 NBA Summer League, the New York Knicks managed to attain an underwhelming 1-4 record.

Despite their poor record, the Knicks have found some talented players who could potentially earn two-way deals with the team for the 2025-26 NBA season.

Among them is 19-year-old Dink Pate, who impressed fans in the 94-85 loss at the hands of the Washington Wizards.

Coming off the bench, Pate played 26 minutes during the Knicks vs Wizards clash. He finished the night with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Additionally, Pate was a menace on the defensive end of the floor as he notched 1 steal and 2 blocks. Pate did so while shooting an efficient 7-of-12 from the field.

After seeing Pate’s stunning performance, the Knicks fanbase is impressed and urged the front office to offer the 19-year-old a two-way deal.

“Can’t believe he went undrafted,” a fan wrote. While another added: “Please sign him to a 2-way deal.”

“2-way incoming,” a third fan added.

“This kid, if he went to college last year, he would have been a lottery. He’s really a triple-double waiting to happen,” a fourth fan stated.

“Feels like he’s getting better every game,” another fan stated.

Despite going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Knicks fans have loved how Pate has played in the Las Vegas Summer League.

After all, who doesn’t love a 19-year-old who is a double-double threat on a nightly basis with the ability to play as a guard and forward? It will be interesting to see if head coach Mike Brown rates him highly or not.

Dink Pate has G League experience

Pate didn’t take the traditional route of spending a couple of years in the NCAA. Instead, he joined the G League Ignite for the 2023-24 season.

During his one-year stint with the team, Pate averaged 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game while starting in 20 out of his 31 appearances.

He next moved to the Mexico City Capitanes for the 2024-25 G League season. Pate showed signs of improvement and contributed 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in 34 starts.

Although Pate struggled to shoot well during his G League stint, looking at his Summer League performance, the 19-year-old has seemingly worked hard on improving that aspect of his game.
