Klay Thompson was putting on a show Monday night, but in a Texas Rangers uniform at Globe Life Field.
In honor of the Rangers’ Dallas Mavericks theme night, Thompson and Dallas center Dwight Powell hung out with the team before the game, even taking some batting practice. Texas’ theme night giveaway of the night is a Rangers-themed No. 31 basketball jersey with a Mavs logo on the back. Coincidentally, Thompson wears that number when he suits up for the Mavericks.
Thompson, whose brother Trayce played in the major leagues for seven seasons, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Rangers third base coach Tony Beasley.
