Last year Chris Paul, or CP3, spent the season with the San Antonio Spurs. Paul, who has worn the number 3 his entire career, was gifted the number from Keldon Johnson, who had been wearing #3 for the Silver & Black since being drafted in 2019. He also wore #3 as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats in his lone year of collegiate ball as well as at Oak Hills Academy where he played high school ball.

Paul, now heading to the Los Angeles Clippers, was once again gifted #3 from Bradley Beal. Beal recently signed with the Clippers after the Suns bought out his contract. Beal, like Paul, has always worn #3 during his NBA career.

The addition of Paul and Beal make the Clippers one of the older teams going into the 2025-2026 season. The Clippers already had Kawhi Leonard (34), James Harden (35), and Nicolas Batum (36) before adding Beal (32), Brook Lopez (37) and Paul (40).

Kris Dunn (31) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (32) fill out the over 30 crew while Derrick Jones, Jr. (28), Ivica Zubac (28), John Collins (27), Kobe Brown (25), Yanic Konan Niederhauser (22) and Cam Christie (19) represent the under 30 players for the Clippers.

The real question is: while Keldon Johnson reclaim #3 this season?
