Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton made a major life announcement on Monday.

Haliburton revealed that he has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend Jade Jones. The two made the announcement on Instagram.

Haliburton proposed to Jones at Iowa State University — where they met and where Haliburton starred before being drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.

“The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins,” the caption said.

Tyrese Haliburton spent 1.5 seasons with the Kings, before being traded to the Pacers in February of 2022.

He has gone on to become one of the best guards in the NBA, earning All-NBA honors each of the past two years.

This past season, Haliburton led Indiana to the NBA Finals. The Pacers and Thunder were in a tight battle in Game 7, before Haliburton went down with a Torn Achilles. The Thunder went on to win Game 7 and the NBA title.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game this past season.

For his career, Haliburton is averaging 17.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.

He recently addressed his injury on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show.

“I think that there’s like a notion when guys get injured or when this has happened so many times that everybody thinks that they have the answer to why this is happening. Everybody thinks we play too many games, we play too many minutes — all those things could be true, but I don’t think that is what’s causing these injuries,” Haliburton said.

“I don’t think that anybody has necessarily the answer. I think injuries are just bad luck sometimes and that’s just what happened. I think that’s just what happens in sports sometimes.”
