SALT LAKE CITY — As the NBA offseason slows down, attention turns to EuroBasket 2025, where several Utah Jazz players will compete on the international stage.
EuroBasket, held every four years, features the top men’s national teams from FIBA Europe.
This year’s tournament runs from August 27 through September 14.
Which Jazz Players Are Competing at EuroBasket?
Two active Jazz players will represent their countries this summer.
All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen will lead Finland after a standout performance in the 2022 tournament, where he averaged 27.9 points per game just weeks after joining the Jazz in a trade.
Finland will host Group B, which includes Germany, Great Britain, Lithuania, Sweden, and Montenegro.
Newly acquired center Jusuf Nurkić will suit up for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 30-year-old averaged 16.2 points during group play in 2022. The Jazz traded Collin Sexton to the Charlotte Hornets in mid-July to acquire Nurkić.

Although he’s not expected to play for the Jazz in the 2025-26 season, Gabriele Procida will represent Italy. The Jazz acquired his rights from the Detroit Pistons at the 2024 trade deadline in exchange for Simone Fontecchio.
Procida left ALBA Berlin this offseason after three years and signed a three-year deal with EuroLeague powerhouse Real Madrid.
Both Nurkić and Procida will compete in Group C, hosted by Cyprus, alongside Georgia, Spain, and Greece.
