The Los Angeles Lakers and “ESPN Los Angeles” KSPN (710) have extended their radio rights agreement, according to a news release.

The deal ensures the station will continue to broadcast Lakers games across the Los Angeles region. Terms of the deal and the specific length of the extension weren’t disclosed. KSPN, which has been the National Basketball Association team’s official radio broadcaster since 2009, will continue to air all regular-season games, along with preseason and postseason contests.

“Extending our longtime agreement with ESPN LA is a testament to the outstanding coverage and beloved personalities they offer Lakers fans,” Lakers Chief Operating Officer and President for Business Operations Tim Harris says in the release. “For 15 seasons, ESPN LA has delivered a top-tier listening experience with energy and authenticity Lakers fans expect and we look forward to continuing that.”

Broadcast veterans John Ireland and Mychal Thompson will return to the team’s gamedays this season. Ireland will be entering his 14th year as the Lakers’ radio play-by-play announcer, while Thompson, a two-time NBA champion, will begin his 22nd season as color commentator.

“We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with one of the most iconic franchises in sports,” said Sam Pines, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, ESPN LA. “Lakers basketball is part of the fabric of Los Angeles, and it’s an honor for ESPN LA to bring the passion, excitement and tradition of the Lakers to fans across the Lakers Radio Network every game.”

Fans can tune in to KSPN or the ESPN LA App to listen to all Lakers games. ESPN Los Angeles is the flagship radio home of the Lakers, Rams, Kings, LAFC, Angels and USC Trojans.
