The Philadelphia 76ers signed the versatile Trendon Watford to a 2-year $5.3 million deal. The idea is that the 4-year forward out of LSU will step in and produce in a variety of ways such as playmaking and being able to lead a break off the rebound. He can be an invaluable piece.

For those who are interested in uniform numbers, Watford wore No. 9 as a member of the Brooklyn Nets. Obviously, that number is occupied by Kelly Oubre Jr. with the Sixers so Watford has to choose a different number. He will reportedly rock with No. 12 heading into his first year with the Sixers.
Whatever number Watford wears in 2025-26, the Sixers hope he can step in and produce the way they are hoping for when the season begins.
