The Suns have two preseason games against the Lakers — Oct. 3 in Palm Desert, Calif., and Oct. 14 in Phoenix.
The complete 2025-26 official NBA schedule is set to be released Aug. 14.
The Suns are coming off a 36-win season in which they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 season, which was the last time they had a losing record.
Phoenix went 2-2 against the Lakers and Warriors and 1-3 versus the Kings last season.
Phoenix finished fifth in the five-team Pacific Division, but tied for the second-best record in division games with the Los Angeles Clippers at 9-7. The Lakers posted the best division record at 12-4.
Los Angeles is viewed as a title contender with LeBron James, Luka Doncic and former Suns big Deandre Ayton, who joined the Lakers after being bought out by the Portland Trail Blazers this summer.
Golden State will enter its first full season with Jimmy Butler. The Warriors acquired him from Miami before the 2025 trade deadline.
Sacramento removed the interim tag from Doug Christie as head coach going into the 2025-26 season.
