Detroit — The NBA announced Wednesday afternoon the league’s schedule for the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup group play.
The Detroit Pistons will participate in the annual in-season tournament as part of East Group B, which will feature games against the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Pistons will open the Emirates Cup at Barclays Center on Nov. 7 against the Nets. They will play their first in-season tournament game at Little Caesars Arena on Nov. 14 against the 76ers. The Pistons then hit the road on Nov. 26 for a contest against the Boston Celtics that will air on ESPN. Detroit will close its group-play round at home against the Magic on Nov. 28.
Tickets for the Pistons’ home in-season tournament games against the 76ers and Magic are on sale. Fans can purchase tickets in a variety of ways, including Ticketmaster, the Detroit Pistons app or by calling 313–PISTONS. Tickets are also available at the Xfinity Box Office at Little Caesars Arena, which is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
The 2025-26 campaign will mark the third year of the Emirates NBA Cup. Group play will take place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 28. The top eight teams — four from each conference — will advance to the knockout single-elimination rounds, which will take place on Dec. 9 and 10.
The top four teams will advance to the semifinal rounds, which will determine the teams that will compete in the championship game. Both the semifinal and championship games will take place in Las Vegas on Dec. 13 and Dec. 16, respectively.
Last year, the Pistons had a 3-1 record in Group Play and carried the momentum established into the rest of the season, though they were unable to advance to the knockout rounds. The Milwaukee Bucks won the Emirates Cup in a 97-84 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the championship.
