Former Wildcat secures two-way contract with Boston Celtics

  • August 15, 2025

BOSTON (WYMT) – The Boston Celtics signed former Kentucky center Amari Williams to a two-way contract, the franchise announced Friday.

The former Wildcat averaged 6.2 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game in four games played with the Celtics Summer League team.

Williams tallied 10.9 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game in his only season in Lexington.

Players who sign two-way contracts are paid one salary for their time in both the NBA and the association’s G-League. Only players with three or fewer years of NBA service are able to sign two-way contracts.
