Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics were at Madison Square Garden on Saturday to face the New York Knicks in Game 3 of their second-round NBA Playoffs series.
After becoming the first team in the play-by-play era (since 1996–97) to blow two 20+ point leads and lose in the playoffs, the Celtics are looking to bounce back and avoid falling into a 3-0 series hole.

Tatum has recorded a double-double in each of the first two games but hasn’t shot the ball well. In Game 1, the six-time NBA All-Star shot 7-of-23 (30.4%) overall and 4-of-15 (26.7%) from beyond the arc. In Game 2, he went 5-of-19 (26.3%) from the field and 1-of-5 (20.0%) from three.

While fans expected the focus to be on his bounce-back performance in Game 3, Tatum instead went viral pregame for something completely different: his pregame outfit.
He walked into Madison Square Garden ahead of the 3:30 p.m. ET tip-off wearing brown overalls and Timberlands. SportsCenter shared a video, zooming in on the boots.
Fans couldn’t help but laugh once the video hit social media, with many joking that the Celtics were doomed to lose because of Tatum’s outfit.

“They might use those to stomp your team out if y’all go down 0-3 😂,” another wrote.
“Definitely gone for 40. lol,” added another.
“I think this signals 0-3 idk why 🤣,” said a fan.
“yeah Knicks in 5 😂,” one wrote.
“He should’ve rocked a Yankees fitted with it 😂,” said another.
