Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was recently upgraded on the injury report ahead of their game Saturday against the Bulls in Chicago.

Morant was listed as doubtful to play with a hip injury before being ruled out when the official report was released.

Morant will miss his eighth straight game. He last played on Nov. 6 against the Los Angeles Lakers, when he fell hard on the floor after attempting to catch an alley-oop pass.

Now that Morant has been upgraded to doubtful, the Grizzlies’ point guard is closing in on a return.

Their next game is at 7 p.m. CT Monday at home against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Grizzlies (9-7) are 5-3 this season when Morant plays.
