The Oklahoma City Thunder have found out their Round 1 opponent. After waiting a week, they will face the Memphis Grizzlies to start their 2025 NBA playoffs. The first-seeded squad will enter with plenty of rest while the eighth seed will get little time to celebrate surviving the play-in tournament.

The Grizzlies blew out the Dallas Mavericks with a 120-103 win in the play-in tournament on Friday. It was their second chance to clinch a playoff spot after they lost to the Golden State Warriors for the seventh seed on Wednesday.

Memphis’ trio led the way. Ja Morant finished with 22 points on 7-of-24 shooting, Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 22 points and Desmond Bane had 22 points and nine assists.

The Thunder swept the Grizzlies in their four games this season, all in a similar blowout fashion. They finished with a plus-75 point differential in the regular-season series. They will host Game 1 on Sunday, Apr. 20. Expect OKC to be a heavy favorite to win the playoff series.
