Draymond Green has kept himself busy this offseason, reigniting his beef with the Houston Rockets roster.

Draymond Green has a knack for getting under his opponents’ skin. The Golden State Warriors forward is a brilliant defender, but perhaps an even better instigator.

Most recently, Houston Rockets star Alperen Sengun addressed his anger towards Green and the Warriors, stemming from their heated first-round playoff series.

Green didn’t waste time responding to Sengun, calling him out and the Rockets for their immaturity during the series.

And now, Green has aimed his venom at another member of the Rockets roster, even going after family members in a controversial move.

Houston Rockets star Tari Eason’s mother took to X to respond to Draymond Green’s recent comments against Alperen Sengun.

She simply noted, “Oh dear, now it’s war,” hinting at an intense clash between the Rockets and the Golden State Warriors next season.

In classic fashion, Draymond Green wasted little time responding to Eason’s mother. He took to Threads to joke that the intensity she forewarns will fizzle in the regular season.

“Somebody tell Mama Eason, she said it was war before they took the L. They gone [sic] come out playing hard as hell… in a regular season game.”

Green continues to stoke the flames between the Warriors and the Rockets, a rivalry that will be even more interesting now that former Warriors champion Kevin Durant is on Ime Udoka’s side.

Houston Rockets must parlay playoff experience into success next season

Draymond Green might be rather abrasive in his style of response, but it’s hard to look at what he said and not see the validity in it.

The Houston Rockets were absolutely phenomenal last season, ending the season with 50+ wins, good enough for the second seed in the Western Conference.

But when facing a more experienced playoff team like the Golden State Warriors, they weren’t able to get the job done.

While it was a competitive series, going all seven games, the Rockets’ inexperience cost them in the end. That can’t be the case next season.

With Kevin Durant now on their roster, the Rockets need to parlay this experience into more sustained playoff success next season.
