Charlie Cummings gives his top DraftKings WNBA Pick6 plays and projections for the two-game WNBA slate on Wednesday August 27th.
WNBA action on Wednesday will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball.
This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.
Paige Bueckers Less Than 18.5 Points Scored
These days, Paige Bueckers is just about the only thing going right with the Dallas Wings. Already eliminated from the postseason, they’re going to have to hope that lottery luck can once again redeem a dire year. But Bueckers being as advertised has made this painful year somewhat worth it.
The 2025 Wings experience truly peaked three games ago. Paige dropped 44 points on 17/21 shooting, one of the most prolific single-game scoring performances in recent memory. But her teammates combined for only 36 points, and the Wings lost to the Sparks. In the games after that, Bueckers’ production went down, which was attributed to an “illness”. It’s unknown if she’s suffering from a rare case of tankitis.
If Bueckers suits up, I doubt she will receive heavy minutes or be significantly involved. This illness held her to 20 combined points over her last two games. Even against Connecticut’s poor defense, expect more of the same.

Rhyne Howard Less Than 2.5 Threes Made
Rhyne Howard is many things: a versatile defender, a capable playmaker, and a volume scorer. But efficiency has never been the name of her game. The three-time All-Star has a career low in field goal percentage (34.5%) and three-point percentage (29.7%). Howard has been maximizing the volume and inefficiency in her last few games, taking 10+ threes in three straight games. And the results are tough.
Howard shot 4/11, then 2/11, then 1/10 from deep in those three games. Even if the volume is there, she’s inefficient enough to brick the night away. This Aces defense has toughened up in the last few weeks and should keep her under wraps.

Jackie Young More Than 5.5 Assists
Since Jewell Loyd went to the bench a month ago, the season has changed for the Las Vegas Aces. They’ve won 13 of 14 games, including eleven straight. It’s been a historic turnaround for the team, and a major boon for most of the players. Jackie Young is one such player who has bounced back since Loyd moved to the bench. Before the move, Young was averaging 4.1 assists per game. Since the move, she’s averaged 5.8 assists per game.
Though Young has posted 6+ assists in just 6 of 14 games since that move, it’s the blow-up spots that have impressed. And while her 14-game low did come against these same Dream, I’m expecting a rebound performance here. Young can’t be held down for long.
