How are the Boston Celtics opponents in the NBA’s Western Conference looking this season? The Celtics may not be a likely contender in a retooling campaign to kick off this fall while star forward Jayson Tatum recuperates from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in the 2025 NBA Playoffs vs. the New York Knicks in the East Semis.

But they are not looking at the league’s 2025-26 season as a lost one, either, and have designs on developing younger talent on the roster while looking to upset predictions about their demise. The Eastern Conference is widely seen to be as weak as it has been in many years, but what about Boston’s opponents out West? The hosts of “Havlicek Stole the Pod” sat down with OKC Thunder Wire editor Clemente Almanza to talk it over.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about the strength of the teams the Celtics will face in the Western Conference.
