Playing for his native country of Turkey, Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun had yet another strong and extremely efficient game in Friday’s 92-78 victory (box score) over Czechia.
Turkey is now 2-0 in Group A games in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 competition. Czechia entered ranked No. 19 in FIBA’s world rankings, while Turkey was at No. 27.

Sengun finished Friday’s win with a game-high 23 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 blocks, and Turkey went +14 in his 28 minutes played.
The 23-year-old, who made his first NBA All-Star appearance in 2025, connected on 8-of-9 shots from the field (88.9%) and 7-of-10 from the free-throw line (70.0%)
