The Denver Nuggets’ star Nikola Jokic gets appreciation for his greatness from his fellow players across the NBA. Recently, Bogdan Bogdanovic shared his genuine admiration for Jokic, which made the Nuggets star special for him. Now it’s Ronnie 2K who highlighted Jokic’s presence over last season’s MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Last week, NBA 2K hosted a Community Day in San Francisco, where content creators and media members got an early chance to play the basketball video game. He mentioned that over 70 content creators were excited about the game and remained fully engaged. Fans started exploring NBA 2K26 with early access before the official release on September 5.

One significant discussion about player ratings remains unresolved. Despite a solid season last year, Gilgeous-Alexander ranked second behind Nikola Jokic, with both players having a 98 rating. Ronnie explained that Jokic’s longer track record and multiple MVP awards helped him stand tall.  “I think part of that, in my opinion — and this isn’t based on actual statistics or anything — is its longevity. Like that’s something that Jokic has working for him,” he told Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

As the official release is just days away, NBA 2K26 generates a lot of buzz and anticipation. Fans are eager to see how their players stack up and what new features the game will offer. While Jokic impressed fans by making a jaw-dropping touch pass during the EuroBasket league, which adds another legendary contribution to his legacy, he will continue to make an impact across the league.

Ronnie 2K Responded Bluntly To OG Anunoby’s Claimhttps://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4XL8wm_14GtzWpD00Ronnie 2K and OG Anunoby (Photo by X@Ronnie2K/Imagn)

The New York Knicks built a strong team, recently extending Mikal Bridges after their successful run to the Eastern Conference Finals. While still a piece away from title contention, they quickly became a playoff contender.

However, one key addition is that the OG Anunoby boosters their defense. He was unhappy with his 87 rating in NBA 2K26 and argued he deserved at least a 92 rating.

“Last night, after dinner at the Wynn, OG comes up to me and talks my ear off for half an hour… he was going in on ‘I’m an 87. I should be at least a 92.’ I’m like Wow, OK. But he had real thoughts, real feelings, real things to back up,” he said. “His argument was that we skew offensively more than defensively. I actually don’t agree with that. I think we balance it really well.”

Meanwhile, Ronnie fired back with his opinion and said, “Last night, after dinner at the Wynn, OG comes up to me and talks my ear off for half an hour… he was going in on ‘I’m an 87. I should be at least a 92.’ I’m like Wow, OK. But he had real thoughts, real feelings, real things to back up,” he continued, “His argument was that we skew offensively more than defensively. I actually don’t agree with that. I think we balance it really well.”

Both sides presented valid points, but the rating reflects the balance between offense and defense in the game.
