Anthony Edwards knows what the Golden State Warriors are trying in the second-round series.

Despite a close affair in Game 3, the Minnesota Timberwolves have now taken a 2-1 lead in the series following a 102-97 win over the Golden State Warriors.

In the first two games, the Warriors managed to keep Anthony Edwards relatively quiet. However, the Dubs couldn’t contain the former No. 1 overall pick in the third game of the series.

Let’s keep that on the back burner and take a look at what Edwards said when he was mic’d up during the matchup.

Stephen Curry has acted as the Warriors’ savior a plethora of times in his career. However, Curry can’t do that for the Dubs in the second-round series.

After all, the Baby-Faced Assassin has been sidelined since Game 1 due to a hamstring injury. With that said, Ant engaged in a brief conversation with Warriors’ Gary Payton II during Game 3.

The Timberwolves star was briefly mic’d up during the contest. That’s when Ant perfectly predicted what the Warriors plan to do in hopes of eliminating the T-Wolves from the playoffs.

“Y’all trying to get to a Game 6, get Wardell back,” Edwards said.

“That is the plan,” Payton II responded.

Edwards proudly concluded the chat, stating: “I already know.”

Steph Curry’s potential return

The Warriors have plenty of star power on the roster, but there’s no doubt that Curry is the best player on the team.

When Steph’s on the court, the Dubs play an entirely different brand of basketball which makes it tough for opponents to counter.

With that said, many may be wondering the exact timeline for the 4x NBA champion’s return to the floor. Well, according to NBA insider Shams Charania, Curry is targeting a Game 6 return in the series.

This aligns perfectly with what Edwards predicted in his mic’d up conversation with Payton II.
