Arne Slot’s Liverpool will meet Arsenal on Sunday in one of the most awaited clashes of the 2025-26 season, after the two teams ended up in the top two spots of the standings last season. Liverpool ended up lifting the Premier League trophy in their first season under the Dutch manager who replaced Jurgen Klopp in the summer 2024. Arsenal, on the other hand, are yet to win the title under Mikel Arteta, but after a solid summer transfer window this might be the right season to make it happen, but we will know much more after today’s game in Liverpool. Arsenal have not lost a Premier League match against Liverpool since March 2022, but it has been quite a while since the Spaniard tasted top-flight victory at Anfield, going all the way back to a 2-0 win in September 2012 when Arteta was a starter for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side.
