San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant returned to Tucson on Saturday as Arizona hosted Hawaii to kick off its 2025 football season at Arizona Stadium.
Bryant was pictured on the sideline with incoming five-star freshman Koa Peat and sophomore Jackson Cook, cheering on the Wildcats. He was also honored on the video screen during a timeout in front of an announced crowd of 42,423.
The 16th pick was treated to a dominating 40-6 victory by the home team as quarterback Noah Fifita threw for 161 yards and one touchdown, while adding another one on the ground. Running back Quincy Craig rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Bryant helped Arizona to the Sweet 16 last season, averaging 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and one assist on 37.1% shooting from 3-point range as a freshman. He scored in double figures five times, including a season-high-tying 14 points on Jan. 27.
The 19-year-old logged six appearances with the Spurs in summer league, averaging 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.2 assists on 28.6% shooting from the field. He wrapped up his stay with a 16-point, five-rebound performance on July 17.
Bryant has been active in the San Antonio community throughout the offseason, while also attending several workouts at the team practice facility. He had the opportunity to visit campus one more time before training camp begins and appears ready for his rookie campaign.
