Charlie Cummings gives his top DraftKings WNBA Pick6 plays and projections for the two-game WNBA slate on Tuesday, September 2nd.

WNBA action on Tuesday will kick off at 10:00 p.m. ET. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball.

This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.

Veronica Burton More Than 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

There are numerous reasons why the Golden State Valkyries have been considered the best expansion team in WNBA history; Veronica Burton’s breakout is chief among them. One of the top players in every advanced metric, her leap as a lead ballhandler has been something to behold.

Veronica Burton’s last five games:

For a Golden State team that relies on a defense-first identity, capable offensive players who fit into their scheme are paramount. Burton has been spraying the ball all over the court with her drives and clever movement skills. Facing a Liberty team that has taken a bit of a step back defensively, Burton should eat once again on Tuesday.

Kelsey Mitchell Less Than 20.5 Points

It’s been an incredible season for Mitchell. In Caitlin Clark’s absence, she’s taken her scoring to new heights, keeping this Indiana offense afloat. But it appears her steam is running out.

Mitchell is in the midst of an 11-game streak with double-digit points. In the first nine of those games, she averaged 24.7 points per game while shooting 46% from the field and 51% from three. In her last two games, she’s dropped to 13.0 points per game on 32% shooting and 19% from beyond the arc. Some of that is due to playing a Valkyries defense that swarms guards to death, but mostly, she just looked tired. It’s been a demanding season, and the offensive burden placed on her shoulders has been tremendous. Facing another strong defense in Phoenix, don’t count on Mitchell to light it up.

Satou Sabally Less Than 19.5 Points + Rebounds

It’s been a season of severe ups and downs for Sabally. She stormed out of the gate, earning an All-Star selection and fueling the Mercury despite their injury struggles. Then her effort dipped, earning a public call-out and benching by head coach Nate Tibbetts. That lit a fire under her, sparking a great run—only for her to fall back to earth in recent games.

Sabally has failed to reach 20+ combined points and rebounds in four of her last five outings. In the first half of the season, she averaged 17.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. That’s dropped to 14.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in the second half. Over the last five games, she’s sunk further to 13.2 points and just 3.2 rebounds per game. Even if the scoring ticks up, her effort on the glass has been questionable, and it’s difficult to trust her against a physical Fever frontcourt.
