Larry Vickers’ first full high school recruiting class cycle is off to a blazing start.

Zaniyah Williams, the No. 54 player in the class of 2026 according to ESPN, announced her commitment to Auburn on Monday on social media.

She held offers from schools such as Duke, Missouri, West Virginia, Miami, Florida and Michigan, among others.

Williams, who is originally from Portsmouth, Va., which is eight minutes away from Vickers’ previous school Norfolk State, played her first three years at Long Island Lutheran High School in New York. She announced her intention to transfer to powerhouse Montverde Academy in July ahead of her senior season.

As a 5-foot-8 driving guard, she’s similar to the type of guard that has found success playing under Vickers with Diamond Johnson the previous two seasons at Norfolk State being a prime example.
