Vucevic played for the Montenegro National team in the 2025 EuroBasket until the recent game against Great Britain. After that game, he announced his retirement from the National team.

Vucevic played 36 minutes in the game against Britain and scored 31 points, seven assists, and 11 rebounds. Despite this impressive performance, Montenegro lost the game with the final score 83-89.

Vucevic played just five games in the 2025 EuroBasket before announcing his retirement. He averaged 20.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 0.8 blocks per game. During the post-game interview, where he announced his retirement, Vucevic also sent a heartfelt message to the team and the fans.
“I’d like to thank my teammates, coaches, and most importantly, the fans for everything they did throughout my career with the national team. It was an honor to play here, but that’s sports. I enjoyed playing here, but it’s time for a new generation to leave its mark,” Vucevic said.
