The Brooklyn Nets have been remaking their roster ahead of a 2025-26 NBA season in which they will be relying on more young players as the rebuild continues. Brooklyn will be entering training camp with some tough decisions to make in terms of the roster, but the team also has been focused on retaining/adding talent to the team ahead of what could be a trying season.

The Nets announced on Wednesday that they re-signed center Day’Ron Sharpe to a multi-year contract, but the team noted that they did not release details about the contract according to team policy. Earlier in the offseason, it was reported that Brooklyn re-signed Sharpe to a two-year, $12 million deal after the team began free-agency by not extending his $5.98 million qualifying offer to him to make a restricted free-agent.

Within a matter of weeks, the Nets re-signed Sharpe to the aforementioned contract to which he said that he “feels good” to play for head coach Jordi Fernandez and the Nets organization as a whole. Sharpe, 23, is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 52.1% from the field and 75.7% from the free-throw line.

The news didn’t stop there for the Nets as the team announced in a following press release that they had signed forward EJ Liddell to a Two-Way contract. Liddell, 24, spent last season with the Chicago Bulls on a Two-Way contract after spending the first two seasons of his career with the New Orleans Pelicans and their G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.

In 36 games last season for the Windy City Bulls, Chicago’s G League team, Liddell averaged 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 47.3% from the field and 37.3% from three-point land. Liddell, the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Ohio State, has only played in 20 NBA games in his three seasons in the league so the hope is that he can make an impact with the Nets.
