Maryland men’s and women’s basketball players got their first look Wednesday at the brand-new Barry P. Gossett Basketball Performance Center.

The 45,000-square-foot facility is finally complete after ground was broken on it more than two years ago. It includes designated practice courts and medicine rooms for each team, a “state-of-the-art” strength and conditioning room, revamped lounges and offices and a connecting tunnel to its neighboring Xfinity Center.

The facility is part of the university’s “Building Champions” initiative which looks to cultivate upgraded practice facilities for Maryland sports in need of them.

A full rundown of the facility can be found here.
