The guest picker for Saturday’s highly anticipated ESPN College Gameday show on OU’s campus in Norman has been revealed.

Atlanta Hawks star and Sooners legend Trae Young will join Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban on set in the South Oval from about 10:40 a.m. to 11.

“I’m ready to set the tone, we know what we gotta do,” Young said in a video shared by College Gameday on social media.

OU and Michigan kick off later that evening at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.

Last time the show visited Norman for the Tennessee game last year, the guest picker was Blake Shelton.

Young was an electric basketball player for the Sooners during his 2017-2018 season. He averaged 27.4 points per game and 8.7 assists, was an All-American, and led OU to the NCAA Tournament.

He was the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
