While the Nevada men’s basketball team’s non-conference schedule has not officially been announced, it is complete with the Wolf Pack scheduled to play 11 games before the start of Mountain West action.

Nevada non-league slate includes seven home games, two road games and two on a neutral court at the Acrisure Series in Palm Springs, Calif. The Wolf Pack also will play two public exhibitions after playing two closed-door scrimmages before last year.

After preseason games at Utah (Oct. 17) and home against Eastern Washington (Oct. 25), the Wolf Pack will officially kick off the season with three straight home games against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 4), Pacific (Nov. 8) and Southern Illinois (Nov. 12). After a road game at Santa Clara on Nov. 15, Nevada will return home to host UC Davis on Nov. 18 and UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 22.

The Wolf Pack will play in the Acrisure Series, facing Washington on Thanksgiving and either Colorado or San Francisco the following day. Those are the only two potential power-conference foes for Nevada, which will face the Big Ten’s Washington, a team it has dominated this century, and potentially Colorado from the Big 12. Both finished last in their conference last season. Nevada then closes out non-league play with a home game against UC San Diego on Dec. 2, a road game at Washington State on Dec. 7 and a home game versus Duquesne on Dec. 13.

Of the Wolf Pack’s 11 non-league foes, three had top-100 NET rankings last season in UC San Diego (35th), Santa Clara (57th) and Colorado or San Francisco (86th or 64th). Only two had NET rankings higher than 200, those being Pacific (295th) and UC Davis (237th). The average NET ranking among the 10 guaranteed non-league opponents is 146th.

While the Wolf Pack has not announced its MW schedule, some members of the league have. Among the known games for Nevada in conference are home matchups with Boise State on Dec. 20, San Diego State on Jan. 6; and Grand Canyon on Jan. 27 plus road games at Colorado State on Dec. 30 and at San Diego State on Feb. 14. The MW will play 20 league games this season with nine home-and-home series and two one-game series. One of the teams Nevada will only play once is Grand Canyon; the Wolf Pack will not play at the Antelopes.

Nevada returns just four players and no starters from last year’s team that went 17-16 overall and finished seventh in the MW at 8-12. The Wolf Pack added six transfers and three high school prospects to its 13-player roster this offseason before a trip to the Bahamas during the summer.
