Well, it looks like the Kentucky basketball program could be getting a new practice facility. According to Jon Hale of the Lexington Herald-Leader, the UK Board of Trustees athletics committee is holding a meeting on Thursday, and one of the topics of discussion will be the initiation of a predesign process for a new multi-use facility that could include a basketball facility.

The Kentucky basketball team currently practices in the Joe Craft Center, which opened in 2007, so a facility that old could be due for an upgrade, if not completely replaced, and it sounds like UK is exploring the potential for that.

Would be great to see for the gold standard of college basketball.

In other news, the first official visits of the fall have now wrapped up for Mark Pope and his staff as 5-star guard Caleb Holt and 4-star small forward Maximo Adams made the trip to Lexington this weekend.

With the Kentucky Wildcats still looking to land their first commitment in the 2026 class, the Cats seem to be in good shape for the two top-100 prospects as they get their visits underway. With the pictures from the visits coming out as well, I’m sure the fanbase can easily picture the duo suiting up for UK next season.

For Holt, the Cats are going to have to fend off Alabama and Auburn (the two home state schools) if they hope to land his commitment. Getting him on campus is a huge first step to that potentially happening.

Adams, has a strong connection to Coach Pope, as his brother played for him during his time at BYU. Will that connection win out in the end? It will definitely be one to monitor.

The Cats have two of the top-ten rushers in the SEC at the moment. Time to run-the-ball.

Would be funny to see UK get this after Coach Cal clamored for it before bolting for Arkansas.

Time to get Cutter some real game reps.

The freshman had a great week for the top-five ranked squad.

Would be a tough break if the talented DB is out longer than this week.
