Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are set to open the regular season on Saturday, marking the beginning of Clark’s second year in the WNBA. In her final preseason tune-up this past weekend against the Atlanta Dream, the reigning Rookie of the Year tallied 13 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
Before the season begins, Clark enjoyed some NBA playoff action. On Sunday, she watched the Indiana Pacers face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of their second-round series from her usual suite at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The game wasn’t close at all. Indiana came out flying in the first half, building a lead as large as 41 points, which tied an NBA playoff record. The Pacers ended the second quarter on a 19-2 run and went on to win 129-109. They now hold a 3-1 series lead over the Cavaliers.

Clark appeared on the Pacers’ postgame radio show to discuss the game. The 23-year-old, now a fan of the Pacers in her new home city, admitted that at one point, she even felt “bad” for Cleveland.
“It was just one of those nights where you literally could not miss,” Clark said. “It was Aaron (Nesmith). It was Myles (Turner). It was Pascal (Siakam). It was just one to the next, and it was really, really fun to watch. I felt honestly just bad for the Cavs at one point, but man, that was some good basketball.”
Clark has become friendly with several Pacers players since arriving in Indiana last year, most notably star guard Tyrese Haliburton.
