Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has had his name pop up in the rumor mill as the Sixers are reportedly shopping both him and Andre Drummond this late in the offseason. One has to assume it’s because the Sixers would like to create more cap space to bring back Quentin Grimes.

With that being said, which teams truly make sense for an Oubre trade? There are teams out there that could use a versatile piece who is a legitimate downhill scorer and somebody who can do a little bit of everything, but there are two teams that stand out the most.

Here are the two teams that make the most sense in a possible Oubre trade:

Orlando Magic

The Magic need a scorer for the second-unit and Oubre fits in with what Orlando likes to do in terms of providing versatility and being a willing defender. Oubre averaged 15.3 points in 2024-25 and that was while he was dealing with injuries. He can get downhill to the basket which gives the Magic somebody to turn to in terms of putting the ball in his hands when they need something, and he is a solid rebounder, and offers up the offensive player they have needed for the bench unit.

In terms of what the Magic can offer, all eyes point to their bevy of big men. If the Sixers could acquire Goga Bitadze in a potential Oubre deal, it would be a big help to their roster in terms of being able to bring in an established backup big man. Bitadze isn’t flashy, but he can bring a defensive presence and is reliable.

The Kings are the other team that makes a lot of sense. Like the Magic, they could use a player who could step in and produce for the bench unit and that somebody could be Oubre. He would immediately step into that situation in Sacramento and give them a big boost in terms of offensive bench production and versatility.

What could the Kings offer? Why not old friend Dario Saric? He had a rough 2024-25 season while playing in Denver, but getting back to a familiar spot could help him regain his productive form and give the Sixers some depth in the frontcourt.
