Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen put together a jaw-dropping comeback against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, earning praise from NFL pundits and fans alike.
Warriors star forward Draymond Green, on the other hand, has his own perspective on the 2024 MVP award winner. And, um, it’s probably not something Bills Mafia could get behind.
“Josh Allen is a damn good quarterback,” Green said on the latest episode of his new ‘Why is Draymond Green talking about football?’ show. “But just because he’s a damn good quarterback, don’t make you the guy.
“He’s never gonna get it done when it matters the most. I don’t care how Herculean of a comeback effort you have at home in Week 1, he’s never gonna be the guy that’s gonna come out and win a championship and be the guy when it matters the most. He’s not the guy!”
“Josh Allen is not the guy!” 😳😳
Draymond Green still doesn’t believe in the MVP.
I couldn’t believe it. 🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/S0oi82GDN6

Ouch.
No, Green, a four-time NBA champion, has never been a signal caller, but he did appear in Michigan State’s spring football game as a tight end in 2011.
In the eyes of some, those credentials might not be enough to give Green the authority to make such a declaration about Allen. But he did, while naming a pair of elite quarterbacks that he believes are above Allen’s level.
“Jalen Hurts is the guy. (Patrick Mahomes) is the guy,” Green added. “Josh Allen isn’t the guy. When it matters the most, he’s not going to Herculean you in a playoff game to win a Super Bowl title. He’s not going to do that.”
Green is ready for the backlash, Bills Mafia.
“By the way they can go at me all they want,” Green concluded. “Until they win a Super Bowl, I’m right.”
