Mark Cuban admits he “f—– up.”
In an interview with The All-In Podcast, Cuban said he hoped to retain control of the Dallas Mavericks’ basketball operations after he sold a majority stake to Miriam Adelson and Patrick Dumont’s family in late 2023, but that Mavericks GM Nico Harrison did not allow him.

“Yeah, I f—– up,” Cuban said. “When I did the deal the presumption was that I would still be running basketball, and we tried to put it in the contract but the NBA said the Governor is the Governor and they make all final decisions.
“And then I was involved and then we went on this run where we went to the Finals [in 2024] and rather than trying to interject myself all the time, I was like, ”I don’t want to get in the way, we’re rolling.’ And that was a mistake.
“There were some things that happened internally where the person who traded Luka [Doncic] didn’t want me there, and so they won, I lost.

“But that’s in the past, I’m still hardcore Mavs.”
Harrison became the target of derision in Dallas after trading Doncic to the L.A. Lakers at the trade deadline for Anthony Davis.
The Mavericks – banged up by injuries – missed the playoffs but ended up landing the rights to the No. 1 NBA Draft pick and former Duke star Cooper Flagg
That, in turn, led to speculation that the Draft Lottery was rigged.
Meantime, Harrison is still in Dallas and Cuban is still in the news.
