Should the Boston Celtics make a call about trading for Indiana Pacers big man Pascal Siakam? The Celtics need to find a way to put together their frontcourt of the future with Kristaps Porzingis traded to the Atlanta Hawks, Luke Kornet signing with the San Antonio Spurs, and Al Horford likely decamping to the Golden State Warriors.
They will of course squeeze all they can out of Neemias Queta this season, and have hopes that Chris Boucher, Luka Garza, and Amari Williams can help man the team’s big man rotations in the future. But barring a big surprise, none of those players will be starting for a Celtics squad with designs on contention in he near-term future. Would a trade for Siakam make sense for Boston and Indiana both?
