The New York Knicks focused on adding depth this offseason, making some solid additions to their second unit.

After falling short to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks knew they had to add to their bench unit.

They had relied too much on their starters and that wear and tear caught up to them at the end.

The Knicks came into the offseason and arguably made some of the best under the radar signings, picking up Jordan Clarkson, Guerschon Yabusele and Malcolm Brogdon, while bringing back Landry Shamet.

The Knicks, who were third in the East last season, just added even more ammo to their team.

The Knicks had to make some subtractions before the start of training camp.

According to Knicks reporter Ian Begley, New York has waived Dink Pate and Bryson Warren.

Both players were on exhibit 10 contracts and will have financial incentive to join the Knicks G League team, the Westchester Knicks.

Pate joined the NBA G League Ignite in 2023 at the age of 17, becoming the youngest professional basketball player in the United States.

After the 2023-24 season, Pate remained in the G-League but he found a new destination, signing with the Mexico City Capitanes.

During his time with the Capitanes, Pate averaged 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists on 40.8 percent shooting from the field in 34 games.
