Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe is about to embark on his maiden season in the NBA after being selected No. 3 overall in the 2025 NBA draft. After a miserable 2024-25 season in which the Sixers were expected to compete for a championship, but instead were ravaged by injuries, grabbing Edgecombe is a damn good consolation prize.
As Edgecombe looks to make an impact in Philadelphia and put his stamp on the league. Before the season began, the rookie linked up with an NBA legend in the form of Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade.

Wade, a player who Edgecombe admitted he likes to model his game after, and the rookie were at an event for Wade’s fragrance “Aramis”. Edgecombe attended and showed support for one of the game’s greats.
Edgecombe and the Sixers will soon begin training camp on Sep. 26 as they look to bounce back from a tough season. This is a talented roster on paper and it now just needs to come together and be healthy.
