Dereck Lively II has introduced a new member of his family.

On Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks center posted a happy birthday message to his daughter, Klover Lively, on social media. He had not previously posted any photos of Klover, who is turning 1.

“Happy birthday, Klover Lively. My little sunshine. Thank you, God,” Lively wrote in the post.

Included in the announcement was a photo of Lively holding and kissing his daughter on the forehead while with his girlfriend, Elise Mimms, watched the Mavericks’ newest member of Team Girl Dad.

Several of Lively’s current and former Mavericks teammates liked the Instagram post, including P.J. Washington, Naji Marshall, Spencer Dinwiddie, Derrick Jones Jr., Maxi Kleber, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Luka Doncic. WNBA Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers was also among those to show support to Lively’s new addition to the family.

Lively, 21, is entering his third NBA season and will be a key member of the Mavericks’ hopes to return to playoff contention. He averaged 8.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game last season.
